Lighting is an important part of our
lives, many of us can spend up to 50% of our waking day under
artificial illumination – more if we work or live in an environment
with little day light. How we light our public spaces, work space
and residences impacts on our health, our well being and state of
mind. Lighting also impacts on the environment; the context in
which we choose to light our buildings and public spaces is becoming
ever more important in our response to global warming and the
creation of sustainable communities.
