Lighting a home is a very personal matter for the client. The lighting designer can offer advice on the many different options available and on techniques that may well be unfamiliar. A lighting designer will have access to a wider range of products than most contractors or shops, they will be able to source samples to show to a client and demonstrate techniques and options using the actual luminaires proposed.A lighting designer will be familiar with contractual issues and experienced working with electrical contractors. They will be able to project manage a job to avoid many of the pitfalls that can otherwise occur and ensure that the best value for money can be achieved, whilst introducing a client to many new and exciting methods.A lighting designer will work closely with an architect or interior designer to ensure that the lighting is well integrated with design concepts and choice of finishes and fittings. These principles equally apply to house exteriors and gardens, where discreet and sympathetic lighting can bring to life a landscape all too often lost during the hours of darkness.
We are comfortable working on both contemporary new build architecture and historic / listed buildings; our clients have included private clients, developers, interior designers and housing associations.
