The Pierhead is the largest public space in
Liverpool city centre, on the banks of the river Mersey it forms the
setting for the three graces and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Graham Festenstein Lighting
Design produced a Masterplan
for the public realm
incorporating; the Pier Head, New Museum of Liverpool, Mann Island
and New Liner Terminal schemes.
Working closely with the designers
on these projects we were able to produce an integrated
approach to the lighting across the public realm that was appropriate
for this World Heritage
Site; providing a sensitive setting for the
three graces and in accordance with our lighting strategy for Liverpool
City Centre.
Graham
Festenstein Lighting Design went on to produce a detailed design for
the multiple award winning Pier Head public realm scheme for Liverpool
City Council.
